InfoBits - Adam - How to really listen

This article talks about the importance of listening. The examples used are more for spousal relationships, but I think it speaks volumes to an entrepreneur. Listening is a very important factor and can distinguish you from the rest in a meeting/deal if you hear, and react in a coherently, thought out manner. The three main points in listening are

1. Actually listen - this means 100% attention, not emailing, or blogging, etc. "Simply focus on what the other person is saying"
2. Repeat back - this reaffirms that you are listening and that you care to take the time to answer consciously.
3. Ask Questions - this also reestablishes the fact that you are listening, and it can open up other venues for conversation and ultimately financing, etc.

These steps may be hard to do for some as listening often involves things you don't want to hear, but this enables you to receive actual, unadulterated feedback which is essential to entrepreneurs.
