Individual Reflection

For this week I had the task to interview 12 candidates for our product.  We sent our survey out to various people in the industry and I personally met with 2 owners of trucking companies to get their input directly.  What I found was that there are no products like ours so our hypothesis of us having no competitors is true.  What that means is that we'd be a first to market product so we have the ability to become huge if the product takes off.  With that said, talking to the guy who owns 12 trucks, he said everyone in the industry more or less talks to each other about new products, driving conditions, etc. so a lot of our marketing can come from within that group of people which would bring our costs down.  So word of mouth could play a huge part in our product taking off if our product was good for the industry and speaking with these guys, they all said a product like this would really help them.
