DBS Prototype

DBS Prototype

Our original design required redeveloping the entire brake light itself, when we sat down and thought it over we figured out a way that would cost us next to nothing except developing the idea and getting it patented. But not just one, multiple designs and ideas so that all the cheapest and most efficient methods belong to us. This way we can avoid all the material, production, storage, and most administrative costs. We would work with the Canadian automotive industry and insurance companies to provide incentives to have this system installed on all vehicles.

Our prototype uses a custom momentum switch that is attached right above the brake pedal to the wire that illuminates the brake light after the brake pedal hits the brake switch. It is the simplest and most effective way to implement our design for older vehicles. Our design would be a clip that would automatically attached to the power wire providing power to the switch and another clip that would attach to the ground wire to complete the circuit without disturbing any of the original wiring of the vehicle. The momentum switch would of course be directional so that the loss of momentum is detected in the right direction, and BAM! You now have DBS braking system installed in your vehicle.

Our goal is to have this switch come OEM on all new vehicles so the design mentioned above would leave us out to dry on new vehicles. So our other design would be a momentum switch that would incorporate the brake switch into it and would be incorporated into the braking system itself.

Our most valuable asset will be the idea and the multiple patents on the momentum switch itself. Developing the momentum switch to be as sensitive as we need it without being so sensitive that it detects the incline and decline of the terrain will be our biggest obstacle, but once we have it perfected we will continuously redevelop and improve our designs from the income from out licensing agreements.
