Fords innovative Mykey technology allows parents to restrict the maximum speed of most new ford vehicles, also setting a parental filter on radio stations and other content available through the ford media system. Parents are more likely to allow their kids to take the vehicle if they have a Mykey system installed, by limiting the speed of the vehicle and the content available for their kids to listen to, parents feel more comfortable letting their kids take the vehicle. By limiting the speed it is proven to make drivers drive more fuel efficiently.
